Kelly Watts has had a lifelong interest in equestrian activities
and facility management. Kelly holds B.S. degrees in both Equestrian
Science and Business Administration from William Woods University
in Fulton, Missouri, an institution well-known for its superior equestrian
education program. Kelly has worked in many capacities/locations
in the equestrian industry including Uphill Farm in Cincinnati, OH,
The Turf Club in Libertyville, IL, Elysian Fields in Barrington Hills,
IL, and the Russell Equestrian Center in San Antonio, TX. At Russell,
Kelly worked closely with Col. John Russell, a former Olympic rider.
In 1993, Kelly joined Merrill Lynch as a municipal bond marketing
specialist, and rose to the title of Vice President prior to retiring
in 1998 in order to start a family. Since that time she has been
developing the concept of an exclusive, equestrian centered community
while searching for the ideal location to implement that vision.
Derrick Watts hold a B.S. degree in
Economics from the University of Missouri. He joined Merrill Lynch
as a Financial Advisor in March
of 1994. During the ensuing decade, he built a business managing
over $250 million of client assets, rising to the title of Vice President.
He was a member of Merrill Lynch’s prestigious Executive’s,
President’s and Chairman’s Clubs. In
October of 2003, another well-known financial services firm recruited
him to join their advisory group, and he now focuses on the management
of assets for high net worth individuals as well as corporate benefit
plans. His high level of
expertise in the financial and business lending markets, along with
his business management experience, will provide a tangible benefit
to this project.
We will also provide a comprehensive list of “preferred vendors” to
our community upon request, for services and products such as tack
and equipment, landscaping, interior decorating and design, custom
builders, lawn service, cleaning service, farrier, vet, alarm systems,
home financing, and many more. These vendors have agreed to provide
our residents with significant discounts or priority service in return
for their placement on our list.
