Kelly Watts has had a lifelong interest in equestrian activities
and facility management. Kelly holds B.S. degrees in both Equestrian
Science and Business Administration from William Woods University
in Fulton, Missouri, an institution well-known for its superior equestrian
education program. Kelly has worked in many capacities/locations
in the equestrian industry including Uphill Farm in Cincinnati, OH,
The Turf Club in Libertyville, IL, Elysian Fields in Barrington Hills,
IL, and the Russell Equestrian Center in San Antonio, TX. At Russell,
Kelly worked closely with Col. John Russell, a former Olympic rider.
In 1993, Kelly joined Merrill Lynch as a municipal bond marketing
specialist, and rose to the title of Vice President prior to retiring
in 1998 in order to start a family. Since that time she has been
developing the concept of an exclusive, equestrian centered community
while searching for the ideal location to implement that vision.
Derrick Watts hold a B.S. degree in
Economics from the University of Missouri. He joined Merrill Lynch
as a Financial Advisor in March
of 1994. During the ensuing decade, he built a business managing
over $250 million of client assets, rising to the title of Vice President.
He was a member of Merrill Lynch’s prestigious Executive’s,
President’s and Chairman’s Clubs. In
October of 2003, another well-known financial services firm recruited
him to join their advisory group, and he now focuses on the management
of assets for high net worth individuals as well as corporate benefit
plans. His high level of
expertise in the financial and business lending markets, along with
his business management experience, will provide a tangible benefit
to this project.
Bruce George and Ken Overstreet, of the architectural firm Charles
Vincent George Design Group, have been contracted to provide land
planning and design services for this project. CVG is located in
Naperville, Illinois, and has provided full service architectural
advice in the Chicago and tri-state area since 1962. Edward Seifert,
PE, of the Engineering firm Intech Consultants, Inc. has been contracted
to provide preliminary and final engineering plans for this project.
Mr. Seifert is a principal at Intech, a Downers Grove, Illinois based
company that has provided planning, design, and construction expertise
for many properties throughout the Chicagoland area since 1969.
John Hoscheit, a partner at Hoscheit, McGuirk, and Cuscaden, P.C.,
in St. Charles, Illinois, has been retained to serve as legal counsel
for the acquisition facet of this project. Mr. Hoscheit, a well-respected
attorney with a specialty in real estate transactions, has also served
in many county government capacities, including heading the Kane
County Finance Committee as a member of the Kane County Board, and
currently is serving as President of the Kane County Forest Preserve
District.
Dan Kramer, the principal of the Law Offices of Daniel J. Kramer,
has been retained to assist in the zoning and ordinance compliance
issue that this project requires. Dan has a long and distinguished
body of work in this area, and is widely regarded as the top development
attorney in Kendall County.
Ted A. McCannon, the principal of Environmental Design Service,
Inc., has been retained to design and implement a community plan
for private well and septic systems. His expertise in this area will
be immediately available to our lot owners upon a purchase commitment.
We will also provide a comprehensive list of “preferred vendors” to
our community upon request, for services and products such as tack
and equipment, landscaping, interior decorating and design, custom
builders, lawn service, cleaning service, farrier, vet, alarm systems,
home financing, and many more. These vendors have agreed to provide
our residents with significant discounts or priority service in return
for their placement on our list.
